Thought that I would test the Blog integration with this little mama-jamma.

I’ve installed a new Message Board on the site. The reason that this was done goes back a couple of versions of the Board. In the attempt to add features that I thought would be useful to the board, I added and altered things to the code during version 3.0 with the intention of being able to integrate Word Press and PHPbb so that I could create News threads here on Word Press and have it feature in PHPbb . . . it didn’t work. Later I upgraded to newer versions of PHPbb and the system started to Hick-Up here and there but it didn’t hinder the basic functionality and purpose of the board so I let it slide. Before doing this, I had changed the registration settings for new members that allowed them instant access to the boards . . . then I upgraded to version 3.04 of the message board and that’s when the SPAM accounts really started to invade all that is Boards Oblivion.

3.04 was not Jibing with what ever changes I had made to the code and I lost the ability to move the forums and change the registration back to the default settings.  This became really frustrating as I wanted to see move the defunct Draw-Off Challenge thread and reorganize the board as I have it now with the new boards. That coupled with the increasing amount of false accounts and SPAM posts, I was left with one resolve and that was to start from scratch.

I apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused and hope that you will all join me again in the new environment.

Here’s a little work in progress that will, hopefully, be a new feature of the site. This is a drawing of Wolverine that I hope to give to the winner of the Wolverine Draw- Off starting Jan 1st ‘09

Of course it’s only in the preliminary stages now but it should be finished before the Draw-Off is posted. (Edit: It’s  done.)
