A couple of years back, There was  some debate on a message board somewhere about poeple’s thoughts on who should play the part of Wonder Woman in a live action film. I’m always for the stately and regal Deidre Pagnanelli but that was 17 years ago. While sifting through all of the wonderful suggestions someone threw out the name Erica Cerra! Above is an ironic sort of video in the fact that she starts talking about Superman and Batman and who would win in a fight! She also had a bit part in a Smallville episode which is relevant to nothing really.
Though I think that she may be a little short for the statuesque 5’9″ Wonder Woman, after seeing this Maxim Photo Shoot, I have to say that her facial features might just be perfect for the part!
Erica Cera as Wonder Woman and Deidre Pagnanelli as Hippolyta!

Here’s Deidre doin’ her thing back in the 90’s

*I like Erica a lot. I’d seen her as the tomboy cop in Eureka and liked her. She played tough well. I saw the glamor shots and my jaw dropped.

I really like her too though I think that she may be too short for Wonder Woman but what a beautiful girl. Very much in the vain of the Adam Hughes renderings.

    In her current incarnation, she’s 6′ tall but I prefer 4’24” 😀

There is also a little matter of age. While I’m sure that Erica would be able to maintain a timeless aesthetic, much like Halle Berry, Hollywood would want to cast someone in their 20’s, Erica is 32 st the time of this post.

I haven’t seen Eureka yet but I’ve been meaning to since my introduction to Erica.

So I’ve just finished watching all 5 seasons of Eureka, featuring Erica Cerra and the incomparable Salli-Richards-Whitfield! While I have fallen in love with Erica, she is not Wonder Woman. The series was a lot of fun to watch and it was great to see her character expand from one season to the next, season 4 being the best of the bunch.

Erica played the part of a strong and independent woman in the role of Joe Lupo, everything that you would expect from Wonder Woman! Yet there’s a subtle, but sultry, raspyness in her voice that just pulls her out of the running to represent Diana. . . . But man she is fun to look at. 😀
