I got started on this one while I was doing some doodling at work towards the end of the day on a Friday. I was inspored by this post at the Comic Vine.com where they have an amalgam series of drawing contests that combine two comic characters and this one was of Thor and Hawkman. I’ve never really drawn either character, that I can remember and I thought that this would be one of those things where creativity would be at the fore front of this challenge to create something unique with the design. I’m not sure that I did that here but it was interesting and fun.

Anyone remember that 80’s tv show with Jam Micheal Vincent! Thunder Hawk! . . . . yeah that was cool.

I think it’s spifnifty! But then again, you know I’m a major fan.
But dude, stop writing on your work!!! Or draw on clean paper, your depreciating the value of your work.
Me too. Been ages when I have had any real fun doing art. It’s great to see you having some joy in the process, and turning out a very nice work as a result.
Well the q cite tag doesn’t do what I thought it did. I wanted post this quote from your post at the start of my own.

Nice work EJ! I’m not a big fan of Hawkman…He just seems like a lame ass character…Yet Hawk Girl on the JLA toon was freaking sweet.
Then there is Thor a character you are born to illustrate!
I really like the overall tone you took with the peice and the fact that you pushed the Thor motif more that Hawkman really sells it to me.
Oddly, I’m not really a Thor fan nor am I a Hawkman fan though I did love the 90’s incarnation of the character from Thangar. He was really cool. I have respect for both characters though, and again, this one was fun to draw.
Well I’m sort of a fan of Thor and sort of a fan of Hawkman and this is splendiferous.
Awesome! I’m glad that you like it! Most comments ever! I love it!
I love it E.J. It’s great work! What I like best is that he holding his weapons in his hands like pick or choose which one I’m a bust your ass with.
Thanks Crow, glad that you could come out!
